I prefer the Explorer II in either white or black to the YM. I have owned YM's before and they are fine watches but I always go back to my Rolex Divers over them. The Explorer II is unique in design and appearance for me and they wear great. I wanted to write out a fairly detailed review of the 2021 Rolex Explorer 1 – 124270 which was released in April of this year. There has been much debate and discussion on this watch on TRF and other forums as its one of the few (if any) times Rolex has gone back to an original design size for a new model. Members of the forum will correct me .
The explorer 2 wears bigger on the wrist because of its slab sided case, but it’s thinner. The sky-dweller wears smaller and has smoother case lines that curve downward. It wears much better on my wrist compared to my EXP2.

I have the 16570 Explorer II (40mm) Polar, as others have been saying it provides a nice contrast to my black dial watches.
